ROBIN THE BOY WONDER: When Mr. Haly, the owner of a traveling circus, is confronted by thugs demanding a "fine," he refuses to pay. Consequently, his top act, the Flying Graysons, meet an "accidental" demise during their performance. Dick Grayson, the young son of the Graysons, overhears a damning conversation between Blade, the assassin, and his boss, Zucco. Intending to contact the police, Dick's plans change when Batman, who witnessed the show as Bruce Wayne, takes him under his wing. Batman, recognizing Dick's acrobatic prowess, trains him to fight crime. After his training, Dick dons a costume of red, green, and yellow, assuming the mantle of Robin, the Boy Wonder. As Batman's ally, they pursue the extortionists and their ringleader, Boss Zucco. Zucco's scheme to destroy the Canin Building is thwarted by the Dynamic Duo in a perilous confrontation atop the building's girders. Robin's ingenuity and combat skills lead to Zucco's capture and conviction for murder. Robin commits to fighting crime alongside Batman.
