THE SECRET OF THE CHEETAH, CHAPTER ONE Five days following the Justice League's clash with David Graves, Wonder Woman confronts Cheetah in Central Park. Diana implores Cheetah to allow her to help lift the villainous curse from her friend. Barbara dismisses Wonder Woman's plea, convinced that humans are mere animals, destined for slaughter. As they battle, Cheetah overpowers Wonder Woman, wounding her and leaving her defeated on the ground. The League transports Diana to the Watchtower for recovery, while Batman and Aquaman seek out Steve Trevor for insights on Cheetah. Trevor reveals that Barbara Minerva was Diana's earliest ally in Man's World, aiding Diana and him in unraveling mythological mysteries globally. Barbara managed the Black Room at A.R.G.U.S and one day, she received a Ritual Dagger from an obscure tribe in the Amazon Rainforest. An accidental cut from the dagger led to her possession by the Goddess of the Hunt, transforming her into Cheetah. Diana holds herself accountable for the incident and is determined to rescue Barbara alone, but the League insists on aiding her. Cyborg locates the tribe in Congo, where the team encounters chanting. Without warning, Cheetah lunges at the group, biting Superman and turning him into a cheetah-like beast. ON THE OUTS Amanda Waller takes over as the Justice League's liaison from Steve Trevor yet assures him of further missions. Subsequently, Trevor and Green Arrow scrutinize a peculiar communicator in Multiplex's possession.
