Warlock and the Infinity Watch #23

In the midst of chaos, Adam Warlock confronts a frenzied Thor, and it's clear that no words will soothe him. Warlock instructs Pip to summon the rest of the Infinity Watch, anticipating their imminent need. Attempting to subdue Thor with a Karmic Blast from his Soul Gem, Warlock is taken aback as Thor's Asgardian spirit resists. The Silver Surfer intervenes, yet even their combined might falls short against Thor's berserker rage. Urged by the Dark Valkyrie to slay them, Warlock summons the Surfer's board, rescuing them just in time—a feat made possible by their mingled souls during the Infinity Gauntlet crisis, which granted Warlock this power and saved their lives. Now, Warlock and the Surfer must devise a new strategy to aid their beleaguered comrade.
